At request, we have developed our own army gate with Keep®safe system. During the blast tests in November, the gate was subjected to extremely high pressure loads. The results demonstrate performance far exceeding the specified requirements.

Over two intensive days in November, we conducted live blast testing of our patented safety solution, Keep®safe system, at Drivecenter Arena in Fällfors, Sweden. In front of invited guests, a total of 24 different window and door combinations were tested. It was a unique opportunity to verify the performance of the solutions at full scale.

Tested at twice the required pressure levels

The most powerful blast was directed at the army gate, developed by us with Keep®safe system. The design incorporates a resilient mounting solution that reduces the forces generated during an explosion.
The test was conducted with a factor of 2, meaning twice the pressure load compared to the applicable requirements. Despite the extreme load, the structure withstood the blast without visible damage and appeared virtually unchanged after the explosion. The result is both remarkable and eye-opening.

A well-engineered design with clear operational advantages

A key difference compared to traditional solutions is weight. The army gate is approximately one third lighter than comparable gates manufactured today, providing several practical advantages. The reduced weight eliminates the need for hydraulic operation. The gate can be opened manually, while handling, installation, and on-site assembly are significantly simplified. This weight reduction does not compromise safety; on the contrary, it is an integral part of the overall design.

At the same time, we have placed strong emphasis on the interface around the gate, an area where there is a clear need for more advanced solutions. We have developed our own door gasket that ensures tight closure and retains its function even under high pressure loads. After the blast tests, the sealing elements remained fully intact, meaning that the gate continues to be fully operational even after extreme loading. This solution contributes to water tightness and the ability to maintain a stable internal climate behind the gate, further strengthening overall security and supporting long-term operation.

Experience-driven development for high security requirements

The army gate has been developed to meet clear and very high requirements within defence and security applications. The solution can be adapted to specific needs and requirement profiles, with a focus on function, reliability, and verified performance. The design is based on many years of experience in door manufacturing and security solutions, with development driven by practical use and testing in realistic environments.

Interest in Keep®safe system now extends far beyond Sweden’s borders. The blast tests in Fällfors not only confirms the capacity of the army gate, but also provides valuable insights that show how the boundaries of what is possible continue to be pushed.
