When Vildmannen 7 was rebuilt after the 2017 fire, its historic stone façade had to be preserved. Commissioned by the property owner Hufvudstaden, Keep the company supplied doors, windows and glazed façade sections incorporating Keep®safe system for the building’s ground floor.
The fire destroyed much of the building’s interior. Only the stone façade remained, and a new building with offices, shops and homes was constructed behind it. The reconstruction had to meet demanding security requirements while respecting the property’s historic character.
Hufvudstaden chose Keep®safe system for the doors and glazed sections at ground level. Integrated into the structure, the solution provides a high level of protection against threats including explosions and attempted break-ins. The units were manufactured by Stålpartier i norr AB.
Vildmannen 7 was ready for occupancy in the summer of 2023. The result is a building where the preserved façade meets new spaces, with security built into the design without drawing attention away from the architecture.
