The installation of security-rated glass façades and doors in the large-scale Västlänken project is progressing according to plan. The second phase of the installation is currently underway – and the final stage is soon set to begin.
We’re receiving regular updates and images from the Västlänken project, where the installation of glass façades and door units is in full swing. In total, the delivery includes close to 2,000 square meters of security-rated glazing, installed in three phases below ground level at escalators, platforms, and key passageways within the new Station Centralen.
All units are equipped with Keep Safe System® – our patented solution that provides the highest level of protection against blasts, ballistic threats, physical attacks, and forced entry. The system is specifically developed for environments where both people and critical infrastructure need to be protected, without compromising on design, functionality, or installation efficiency.
The work is carried out in partnership with @Stålpartier i norr, responsible for both manufacturing and installation. The assignment is part of a subcontract to NCC, which is overseeing construction of the section around Station Centralen – a key hub in this major infrastructure project.
Being part of Västlänken – an eight-kilometer railway tunnel running beneath central Gothenburg with three new stations – is a prestigious and meaningful assignment. We’re proud to deliver northern Swedish quality to a project that will transform travel across western Sweden.
A heartfelt thank you to NCC for the continued trust and great collaboration – we now look forward to the third and final phase.
