Our Keep®safe system has been successfully tested together with FB7-rated ballistic glass, meaning it can withstand armor-piercing ammunition.

We recently carried out ballistic tests in which a window solution equipped with the Keep® safe system was combined with FB7-rated glass. The tests were conducted by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.

What does FB7 classification mean?

FB7 is the highest protection level according to the European standard EN 1522/1523, which defines ballistic resistance requirements for windows, doors, and facades.
To meet this classification, the construction must withstand three shots from a rifle using 7.62 × 51 mm armor-piercing ammunition (hard steel core), fired from a distance of ten meters. The test targets weak points in the construction, and no bullets or fragments may penetrate.

Solutions that meet the FB7 standard are intended for environments with extremely high security demands, such as embassies, courthouses, government buildings, military facilities, and other locations with critical security functions.

Result from the FB7 test – marks from three hits with armor-piercing ammunition at the construction’s weakest point. Keep® safe system meets the highest European standard for ballistic protection.

Technology that meets real-world challenges

In an increasingly uncertain world, the need for physical protection is growing. Providing solutions that are proven to withstand various types of threats has become essential.

Keep® safe system is designed to offer the highest level of security without compromising on functionality or design. Its compatibility with FB7-rated glass confirms both the strength and flexibility of the system, making it adaptable to different needs and architectural requirements.

We continue to test, improve, and deliver solutions for environments where security must never fail.
